It has been such an inspiration to me as a therapist, to see my pupil growing in confidence as his school work improves. He enjoys his therapy sessions and responds well to the various techniques we have done.

I have found that while being a NILD therapist my auditory memory has improved. I struggled with Rhythmic Writing while doing Level 1 and when doing my Level 2 training, I was able to help some of the new therapists with Rhythmic Writing.

I like school now.

NILD Level 1 was the most wonderful and effective training course. I am a confident parent and a teacher. Rhythmic Writing is just great. My son's hand writing is legible. Last summer holidays, one of his friends [studied together in class 2 and 3, now my son is 15] told me, "Aunt, I can now read what Simran has written." Now I am harvesting the benefits.

I am delighted with what information I came away with, even after teaching for so many years, I learnt so much. No other course has delivered the amount of information and equipment which we received. The girls on the course were wonderful and we were kept busy for 5 days. Jacquie and Shireen did an amazing course and I can only say a resounding thank you.

As an experienced teacher I did not know how to help children who have learning difficulties. With NILD therapy I feel empowered to help them.

I am so grateful I did NILD straight after my PGCE. It has allowed me to approach education with such a different perspective which I believe can make a change in so many lives.
Sharon Mbangwa (NILD Educational Therapist, South Africa) April 12, 2017
After 30 years of teaching, I have found that NILD educational therapy has the most effective techniques to help children with learning difficulties. After 13 years of practicing NILD educational therapy I have great pride in seeing my students success and I have seen the proof that NILD Educational therapy “develops minds and changes lives”.

My name is Keisha. I am 11 years old. I was 9 when I joined NILD. I have been in NILD for 2 years. My confidence has risen so much. R-Books are the one thing that I love. I also have been doing diagramming. I love NILD!

Level 1 was very interesting, very thorough and certainly very challenging! With such good content and all materials provided by the end of the course, as an intern I felt confident enough to get started straight away.

A little Grade 2 boy was late for his Rx for Discovery Reading lesson and when asked why he was late, he replied that he had been at the assembly, receiving a certificate for reading. When I asked him what the certificate said, he answered, “I don’t know, I couldn’t read it!”

Rx for Discovery Reading Training with Kristin Barbour was a mind and language blower; taking me years to digest and use it all. A charming and enlightening experience.

NILD has revolutionised my teaching! I am able to employ the techniques in order to assist my learners in overcoming challenges in their academic life. The individual therapy sessions offer my learners opportunities to have quality educational time and to have their self-confidence boosted. Through NILD, I am able to meet children at a level at which they can feel confident and extend them naturally through a systematic, logical curriculum, based on knowledge that is overtly taught, and incidentally revised. Sessions are quick and varied and ideal for sustaining concentration and motivation.

The Search Test is great as it identifies the various areas of weaknesses that a particular child has.
Karen Weimann (Search & Teach Practitioner, South Africa) April 17, 2017
Search and Teach taught me how important it is to identify a learning disorder in young children as soon as possible - before they experience the frustration of failure in the future.
Richelle Coetzer (Search & Teach Practitioner, South Africa) April 17, 2017
When I first started in the NILD Educational Therapy programme, I was struggling and very frustrated in class, and in my NILD sessions.
I was scared to try anything. I thought I was going to mess everything up. Then I remembered the verse in the Bible, in Phillipians 4:13, that says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I held onto that verse from that day, and realised that I can persevere through thick and thin. God helped me and comforted me when I did badly in tests.
I started to concentrate and listen more carefully to my NILD Educational Therapist, Aunty Leone. I developed the skills of concentration, perseverance and flexible thinking, which helped me to overcome obstacles in school and life. I gained confidence when studying for my tests because I started to believe in myself.
I think children who struggle in class should go to NILD, so that Aunty Leone can help them in areas that they struggle. I learnt that you need to think about what you want to say, and then apply it to the page; and not to be anxious to try new learning techniques. Students should always look on the positive side rather than the negative side, because a positive attitude will help them to stress and panic less.
